Requirements: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements The role involves: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour 2+ years on the tools preferred.
