We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Clinton County, Indiana. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day-to-day duties: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover 3+ years on the tools preferred.
