We are recruiting: we are hiring a punch press operator in Southeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is at a white goods manufacturing plant. Requirements: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards The role involves: • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges Rotating shifts.
