Argon welding operator • Grundy County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Grundy County, Iowa. Day to day you will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
