Reinforcement fitter — Grundy County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Grundy County, Illinois. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) 2+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
