Fire and safety officer • Haakon County, South Dakota

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Haakon County, South Dakota. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. On the job you will handle: • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports You should have: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Full-time with occasional weekends.
