Tig welder wanted in Richland County

Now hiring: we are hiring a tig welder in Richland County, Wisconsin. Your main tasks: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
