Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Dare County, North Carolina. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day-to-day duties: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
