Now hiring: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a boiler and appliance service centre. You should have: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious Your main tasks: • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $25 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
