Safety officer wanted in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, Abia State. Your main tasks: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) What we are looking for: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
