Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety marshal in Johnson County, Illinois. Day to day you will take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action. You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
