We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Portage County, Ohio. You will work at an automobile body shop. Day to day you will strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; grind back and re-weld any defective runs. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Rotating shifts.
