Industrial sewing operator • Ellis County, Texas

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Ellis County, Texas. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently 6+ years on the tools preferred.
