We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a busy garment factory. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Your main tasks: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Pay around $230 per day, based on your experience.
