Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Calhoun County, South Carolina. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Your main tasks: • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Part-time with flexible hours. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
