Immediate opening: concrete worker (New York)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a concrete worker in New York County, New York. You will work on a building construction site. Ideal candidate: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers The role involves compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish.
