Health and safety supervisor — Kafin Hausa

Now hiring: we are hiring a health and safety supervisor in Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State. You will be based at an oil and gas facility. Day to day you will verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry. What we are looking for: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
