Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Fillmore County, Minnesota. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) 1+ years on the tools preferred.
