Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Day-to-day duties: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers 5+ years on the tools preferred.
