Now hiring: we are hiring a scaffolding charge hand in Penobscot County, Maine. The job is at a shipyard. The role involves: • Fit guardrails, mid-rails and toe boards to every working platform • Erect tube-and-fitting and system scaffolds such as Cuplok and Kwikstage • Inspect couplers, boards and tubes for damage before use • Plumb the standards and level the ledgers with a spirit level • Erect debris netting, sheeting and brick guards • Fix transoms and bracing to keep the structure square and rigid You should have: • Able to read basic scaffold drawings • Full use of harness, lanyard and fall-arrest equipment • Proven experience erecting tube-and-fitting and system scaffold At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
