The role involves keep a daily trip log and record mileage and fuel used; check the first-aid kit and fire extinguisher on board; help elderly and disabled passengers board and alight safely; check engine oil, coolant and washer fluid levels before each shift; follow fixed pick-up and drop-off routes to a set timetable.
