Gas installation technician — Crawford County

Join our team: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Crawford County, Illinois. You will be based at a boiler and appliance service centre. Day to day you will complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches 3+ years on the tools preferred.
