Gtaw welder wanted in Gladwin County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Gladwin County, Michigan. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
