Great opportunity: foundry labourer (California)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Los Angeles County, California. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
