Garment machinist wanted in Shelby County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Shelby County, Missouri. The job is on an export house sewing floor. Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
