Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Falkirk, Scotland. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Day-to-day duties: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper 3+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around £3,000 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
