Join our team: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Prince of Wales-Hyder Census Area, Alaska. On a typical shift you will control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. You should have: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
