Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Grand Isle County

Now hiring: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Grand Isle County, Vermont. You will work on a commercial construction site. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage The role involves installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer $21 per hour plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours.
