Immediate opening: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Elbert County, Georgia. Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics Day-to-day duties: • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays Meals and transport allowance provided.
