Tig welder — San Luis Obispo County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in San Luis Obispo County, California. Day-to-day duties: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Meals and transport allowance provided.
