Now hiring: we are hiring an oven operator in Cape May County, New Jersey. You will work at an in-store supermarket bakery. On a typical shift you will decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to work early-morning and night shifts At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
