Immediate opening: we are hiring a cement mason in Screven County, Georgia. You will work on a high-rise slab pour. Day to day you will cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Six days a week, one day off.
