Urgent requirement: sheet metal welder (New York)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Yates County, New York. The role involves: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Full-time with occasional weekends.
