Panel welder — City of Manassas

Join our team: we are hiring a panel welder in City of Manassas, Virginia. You will be based on a structural steel site. On the job you will handle: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
