Safety officer wanted in Prince Edward County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Prince Edward County, Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
