Urgent requirement: we are hiring a marble polisher in Douglas County, Illinois. The job is at a kitchen worktop showroom. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to work in a team • Knowledge of epoxy resin filling and colour matching • Own hand tools an advantage The role involves: • Cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades • Lay marble tiles and slabs on floors, stairs and walls with adhesive mortar • Fill cracks, chips and open veins with colour-matched epoxy resin • Shape edges, bullnoses and bevels with an angle grinder and profiling wheels • Polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound • Grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
