Immediate opening: horticulturist (New York)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a horticulturist in Yates County, New York. What we are looking for: • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting On the job you will handle: • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
