Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. You will work on an industrial construction site. On a typical shift you will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Own basic hand tools and PPE 1+ years on the tools preferred.
