Garment machinist • Cooke County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment machinist in Cooke County, Texas. The job is at a busy garment factory. On the job you will handle: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Pay around $2,250 per project, based on your experience.
