The role involves strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
