You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine The role involves fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; give each garment a final press before packing; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments.
