Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pressman in Clarke County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine On the job you will handle: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
