On a typical shift you will upsell starters, desserts and beverages; explain the day's specials and recommend dishes; take food and drink orders on the POS terminal or order pad; follow food hygiene and allergen-handling rules; carry loaded trays and serve plated dishes to the right table; raise the bill on the POS and settle cash and card payments.
