Vacancy available: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Oakland County, Michigan. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork On a typical shift you will fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting.
