Groundworker • Polk County, Georgia

Join our team: we are hiring a groundworker in Polk County, Georgia. You will be based with a civil contractor. Your main tasks: • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour Ideal candidate: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day 1+ years on the tools preferred.
