Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Alger County, Michigan. Your main tasks: • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square Ideal candidate: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
