Lift mechanic wanted in Williamson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift mechanic in Williamson County, Illinois. You will be based in a residential tower block. Day-to-day duties: • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway Requirements: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $20 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
