Steel fixer — Herefordshire

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Herefordshire, England. Your main tasks: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) 4+ years on the tools preferred.
