Sheet metal press operator wanted in Rapides Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a metal fabrication workshop. Day to day you will deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor. Requirements: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards Full-time, day shift. We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits.
