Now hiring: precision welder (Alabama)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a precision welder in Talladega County, Alabama. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
